Hi everyone, im doing an assignment on how different bits and bitting regimes effect how the horse performs. was just wondering what evryone thought of the definition of "acceptance of the bit/bridle" and riding forward to a contact??
So hard to put in words cu to me i can feel it, but not easy to describe!

Thanks
Tash

I would say that a horse accepts the bit when he is working in an outline, with the nose on or just in front of the vertical, with a quiet mouth which is ALIVE -- i.e. not foaming excessively, but not dead still either as, in both cases, that would indicate blockages somewhere.
