Does anyone know how they are doing? We were down near the woods and heard the thud from up the hill at fence four. The screens were up for ages and a first we thought it was a pony but later heard it was a rider?

we didnt hang about and made our way to the trade stands - it was pretty awful actually seeing how many of the crowd went sprinting off up the hill for a look :-(

I hope everything is ok

We were sharing a picnic with some of the Irish and they suspected that she had broke her pelvis going off the report from one of the riders father who was watching and then joined us
hope shes ok

We were stood right infront of that fence when an Italian girl had a HF and i have to say it was totally her fault and very dangerous riding as not once did she take a check!! sadly saw a number of other riders do exactly the same thing but just were luckier that their ponies were so clever!
got a few interesting shots that i will upload later

Glad i'm not the only one who thought some of the riding was rather scary!!!!! Saw a german girl gallop flat out to fence 2, got into a very deep spot, the pony was an absolute saint to help her out big time. I think she came unstuck later on course.

Hope the girl who fell off is ok, I didn't like the look of that 4th fence, so I hope they take it out for the BE event!!!!!!

i can deal with fence 4 - fence 11 after seeing a nasty fall and all those skinnies especially that skinny V at 14 however..... ;)

to be fair i was rather shocked the standards of riding - too many slap happy with their pones, riding far too fast and pushing the ponies when they were clearly exhausted it kind of made our GB riders look even more impressive

ps did you see the polish grey pony - it was totally flogged by fence 4  but bless its cotton socks kept going until fence 17
and the BMX headwear ;)

i think it was a super event - hopefully BB will do more like this :)

Noticed the BMX headwear aswell. Do you reckon it will catch on?!?!?!?!?

Saw a few very tired ponies. I saw that grey polish pony at fence 16, it was knackered.

The GB riders looked in a different class to the rest of the competition.

There was a notice on the Secratary's office this morning saying the Italian girl who fell was released from hospital this morning.

They were at Bishop Burton this year - there was some superb riding especially from Grace Walker & Noble Springbok who were the first pair I saw to take the direct route at 14.

There was also some pretty hairraising riding, but on balance, it was no worse than some adults I've seen.

It is so sad to hear that people were pushing tired ponies. Why weren't these ponies fit for the task in hand? Weren't there any welfare stewards to stop these riders/Nations?
