Looks like it may have been a mare and its foal. How terrifying. Glad it seems all involved are ok.

We were on our way home from ESUK champs yesterday, after what had been a 4 hour journey already. Terrible accident and very pleased all involved are fine, HOWEVER, why on earth did it take 2 hours to clear when both horses had been reboxed and out of the way, and no other vehicle was involved!!! How they managed to turn a trailer over on that particular stretch of motorway I really don't know but hope it was mechanical rather than human error.

Fortunately we had climate control in the lorry for the horses although we were scorching! We expected it to be terrible news the length of time we waited. So relieved for those involved all horses are safe, but having seen the video on you tube, NO FEED bucket whatsoever to try and catch the youngster, chasing it around the edge of the hard shoulder..wasn't going to be a fast job was it, cant believe the way they were trying to catch poor little scared thing!
