Dear all,

don't know if this topic fits this part of the forum, but I didn't know where else to put.

In will study in Loughborough, Leicestershire from October 11 - February 12 and need an accomodation, some room, appartment - whatever. I have severel offers, main problem: pets not allowed.

I have a medium sized (mixture breed) dog, who is really well-behaved and does not bark (except from: when the doorbell rings. he stops immediately, when I tell him to) . In two years living in houses with up to 10 different flats/appartments nobody has ever complained about this dog.

I would be really happy and thankful for any advice!!!

i think you will have a hard time finding student accomodation that will allow pets so you'd be better looking at other letting agents. Again agents often have regulations but maybe search for local agents & enquire. loughboruogh is quite rural for a city (if you can make out what i mean as clearly being a city means it isnt rural at all) & the countryside isnt too far away. maybe you would have more luck in the surrounding villages & then commute to uni?

Hello!

well I don't really look for student accomodation, just wrote Student in the topic cause I am one. I don't care where I live in the end, as long as it's got a roof, is clean and allows my dog.

Would be happy for any advice!

see if you can find what big country estates there are in the area. Quite often (sweeping generalisation I appreciate but here goes) they have cottages which are let and since some are used for staff with dogs (gamekeepers etc) and also the cottages are not always massively modernised, they can be more relaxed about pets.

I would forget about trying to find anywhere in the towns/suburbs. People nearly always wont allow pets, just because they do cause a lot of wear and tear and also limit the market for the next rental as many people are either allergic or claim to be.

A couple you might have already looked at, they are single accom so more expensive than a room but TBH landlords of shared houses/flats arent going to allow pets.

This is unfurnished and pretty cheap and central. As it's unfurnished maybe they would consider dog (no furniture of theirs to chew/leave fleas in?

try also
