I know weigh tapes are good for monitoring weight gain or loss, but how accurate are they for estimating actual weight?
I only ask as I used one on my 15.3 TB boy to get a rough guess, just under 500kgs...however my 14.1 mare was weighed on the weigh bridge at RVC and was exactly 445kgs.....
Although he's a lot bigger than she is that's not a huge difference in weight, I would have thought he'd be heavier....although she is broad and he is narrow. Does that sound about right?
I'm trying to work out what weights I have so I can have a firmer idea on payload for when I start looking at boxes.
Tx
