Acheivements? (sp?)

Ive had a good year so far. Gin qualified for the regionals in her first 2 outings of the year, although when we got there she was a bit star struck so didnt perform like she can do.
So off we went to the area festivals at elementary and we came 3rd! She only started competing elementary in spring but since then shes come 1st, 2nd or 3rd in every one that shes done. She won her first 2 elementaries.

Unfortunatly I dont think we will be able to compete through the winter. I start my new job in 4 weeks which means Gin will have to be ridden on an evening. She gets really tense and spooky being ridden in the dark so I dont know if I will be able to keep her competition fit and keep up with her schooling

Will have to wait and see.

had a bad start to the year as Pidge was diagnosed with hock spavin in May. Long recovery period and I got very stressed and down

Fortuantely he has recovered ok and touch wood is sound and can now do lateral movements which we never managed before

Am feeling more confident jumping and can now quite happily jump a 2'6" course without having a nervous breakdown! Have also completed 2 HT's to date which was my aim for last year

Aims for next year, to get placed at a HT and/or 2'6" SJ class.

Good year, but it's not over yet!

Started being competitive driving, Indoor champs at the beining of the year when we did well, and then the outdoor season, was good, unbeaten in marathon, and i would never have dreamed of that! Still to come is the Junior tri-nations so fingers crossed...

Riding, Broken Pip to ride, did well in his first two dressages, couldn't have asked for more!

Next year, get the team out to an indoors and hopefuly a club event, get Pip to buck his idea's up in dressage by me relaxing, failing that work on a different pony so i can get more experienced and Pip can mature.

gosh, we've still got 4months til the end of the year

However i have no idea what my aims where, but ive done more than i couldve hoped for.

Blossy is Petplan Novice Open National Champion, and now in foal to Johnson (due apr 2008)

Archie is competing sucessfully now at novice/elementary and won a YH class. Will be doing our first medium in november (which was one of my aims, to have done some mediums by the end of the year). Hes hacking out on his own, and happily does pole work now. Will be loose jumping him with Lottie Prentice and having jumping lessons with her aswell.

Aims for next year:

- Bloss has a healthy little mini Bloss

Archie:

- to compete in some Premier Leagues
- be competing at Advanced by the end of next year
- happily jumping a course of jumps of at least 1:10m
- qualify for the nationals at whatever level.

So far I feel I have achieved what I wanted to.

In January I had lots my confidence and could barely walk 100m up the road or round the school on my old horse. I sold him and got my pony in March. The goals I set myself were to start doing some little jumps and to enter a show.

I recently jumped 1 foot (a big deal for me!) and have done the yard show and a local show recently. I did ridden classes at the local show too. I've got my confidence back a lot, although I still don't want to hack alone or on the roads really. My pony has been a little superstar and has lost nearly 50kg in weight too

Achievement? For me - is to have a healthy, happy and willing horse! Having said that, he is the first one I have had from a foal and educated all by myself, and this year we managed to qualify for the Petplan Areas

And we have gained 8 points at dressage this year! And a couple of weeks ago we did our first xc jumps (and he's only 5!!).
So, I feel happy that I must have done ok with him and that's my best feeling of achieving something!

Surely have done - especially at the beginning of the year I had no horse! I have managed to do TWO PN events now without feeling sick/nervous/tearful at all, and have enjoyed all three phases both times

Something I seriously thought would never happen - needless to say, I love Josh

Had a mixed year so far. Built up confidence to do first prelim dressage tests with my spooky horse, but have not achieved first goal of 60% yet - 59.4%; had a fantastic time with him at first RC camp together; had a go at Search for a Star - mixed feelings on that, was undecided if he is a hunter or riding horse so having a go at the latter next year at local shows; schooling is progressing and we no longer bomb around the arena when he's spooked by cats, rabbits, birds etc!

Recently losing shoes, other ailments and now FMD have temporarily halted progress but I can concentrate on flatwork instead!

Goals for next year are:

Amateur riding horse classes and maybe some hunter classes
Improve my dressage scores to at least mid 60 percentages!
Have a go at Trailblazers dressage

I had a bloody excellent year. The best year I have had with my horse, she hasn't been lame all Summer *furiously touches wood* I have had her for 2 and a half years, and this is the first Summer where she has been sound!

My confidence has grown ridiculously and I am a totally different rider compared to what I was last year. Haven't done anything amazing, just been hacking around the countryside and jumping, but for a horse who was told there was a possibility she wouldn't be ridden again, let alone jumping is such an amazing feeling. I'm so happy with her

Sorry to hyjack the post - Star - did dan have adhesions? H went lame a few months after her op having come back into work sound - we made her sound again by buting her and working her really hard to break down the adhesions - it took a long time but it worked - just a thought

My goals have changed... they were originally to affiliate BSJA and do some Novice and maybe Disco but my jumping nerves are still shot over about 2'9 on my horse so my new goals are to buy a trailer and spend the autumn/winter doing a mixture of Hunter Trials and prelim Dressage.

I figure a winter of Hunter Trialing will get my confidence back and put the fun back into jumping again and since I've gone back to basics with my horse her flat work is really improving and I'd love to take it to the next level. Fingers crossed. (Oh and btw, also had a rubbish season as I lost access to the trailer I was using and my pony was off for about 6 weeks lame etc - mostly just trying to get it all back on track ATM)
