hi, could someone tell me how much acp to give to a 200kg shetland so that my farrier can put shoes on her?! The farrier tried today but my shetland reared up twice she doesnt like the hammer or the nails going in... i dont want to miss this opportunity as ive been looking for a farrier to put shoes on for months as my shetland has white line seperation and wears her toes very easily, and seeing as ive broken her to drive... i just need shoes on now! all other farriers have said no, that shes too small.. but this farrier is a lady and said she can do it, she had one almost on earlier, with one nail in, but tilly reared up and it twisted round .... anyway so any ideas?
i was going to try 2 and then give her a another if i need too...

hi, dont think they are that strong , vet told me to give my 15h cob 12, and she was still on her toes, i have to buy the sedagel now from the vets and thats very good indeed.

Hi - I have a 9 hh shettie who vet suspected had low grade laminitis (luckily turns out he didn't just sensitive feet). Vet prescribed 2 x ACP twice a day - she said that 3 x ACP has been known to make shetlands keel over. 2 ACP make him pretty sleepy. But you must ask your vet, as ACP is a POM medicine.
