Keep dithering about which camera to buy. There’s a GoPro Hero 2024 available at £166 which is not too horrendous. I’d love to hear from go pro fans who have used this model and/or others? The 08 gets good reviews too. Thanks in advance.

I have the Hero 10, haven’t used one tenth of its abilities, I bought it after much research as it seemed best for me because it didn’t have loads of ultra techy things I’d never want.
Only used underwater, snorkelling and scuba diving, am very pleased.
(Just realised how this review will probably not be very relevant to you!)

All reviews are useful. I too won’t use many of the features but lovely to hear from you. I also didn’t realise it’s a competent camera too. Could leave my phone at home

I have a GoPro hero 10 which I team chase in. The quality is brilliant but it’s soo heavy! My hat ends up tipped over my nose if I get a slightly hairy moment. For hunting it does make my neck ache from the weight after a full day. I’d go for one of the newer ones and compare the weight difference.

I have started using a Panty liner stuck into the front of my riding hat, it helps with sweaty forehead, but a bonus is it helps to stop my Go Pro pulling my hat down at the front.

I use a Gopro hero 8. It's great but I've had it for years and the battery doesn't last very long. Usually I bring a spare battery for longer rides.
I refer using a chest mount over a helmet mount. It doesn't get heavy and no risk of losing it going under trees for example.

If you want something small there is the go pro hero session, it’s a small cube. I think go pro discontinued the session line but you can get them second hand.

Got my go pro! It wasn’t working when I got it but it is now. Piece of plastic wedged in battery port! Cost me in new batteries and SD card but it’s tickety boo now. Time to start some videoing. :-). I had a lovely ride today would have been ideal. Next time!
