Actual breed

Morning all im new ro the forum. I wondered if anyone had any opinion on what breed my dog is. Advertised as a cocker spaniel. However im starting to think he could actually be a sprocker but im no expert.
We saw pups with mum who was a cocker spaniel. What are peoples opinions please?
We will love him all the same we previously had a springer anyway so its no bother to us but interested in opinions

I would say at least part springer yes, presumably he isn't KC registered ?

What a gorgeous pup. He does look the same as my registered working cockers when they were pups. That said, my two look very similar to a friend's two springers. Either way you've got a lovely little chap there. Wish you many happy years of fun with him

It’s almost impossible to tell even in adults especially those in ‘springer’ colours! I couldn’t make comment on one so young.

Springers and cockers are only split by size, although cockers are more often solid colours than springers these days. I’d be hard pressed to say if it’s one or the other at this age. Were there papers given with the pup?

Impossible to say - and as they used to come from the same litters before they were split!
