There's currently a load of building work being done outside our barn, so it's hit or miss currently whether there's lorries blocking various parts outside. Which is annoying but not the end of the world, enough room to squeeze out to go out riding when needed.
Anyway....had to move some horses round last night and when I pulled in to get a headcollar, I explained to the lorry drivers [4, late twenties/early thirties chaps] that we were moving horses round and needed to be able to get a horse lorry in and out, as we had a rather fresh horse to bring out and didn't want to walk it that far.
Which was true....however, said fresh neddy went straight out to another field instead of being bought to the barn.....
Which left me with just one to bring out and load up from the barn....With the lorry drivers sitting, watching, parked well out of the way....
Of course, the 'fresh neddy' as far as they were concerned....was this terrifying beast that emerged......

I've never run out with a horse and up into a lorry so quick in my life!!!!!!
Queue boss and friends piping up loudly 'You alright in there Lis? He sounds mighty feisty in there!!!!!'
[And other things to that effect.]
I styled it out by staggering out, giving them a thumbs up and wiping my brow exaggeratively.......Then legging it out of there in a fit of giggles.
Die of embarrassment, or giggle fit? That is the question haha. I have no shame....it's all good
