Hi!

I was wondering what peoples thoughts/experiences are;

3weeks ago my 15.2hh ISH came up hopping lame but weight bearing on her right hind. No fall/traumatic injury as far as I'm aware. Left over the weekend and had farrier out on the monday morning to have a dig around as initial thought abcess. nothing to be seen. vet came out, suspected stifle but box rest and Bute for 10 days, came out to re-assess and was initial much better- not compleatly sound but no where near as bad. Was suggested to walk in hand for 10mins a day, within 3 days she was back to being hopping. been to 3 counties equine hospital for lameness workup and ended up running out of nerve blocks in the leg!! didn't block out sound anywhere. vet did lower six, hock and stifle, suspensory. nothing made a significant difference, booked in for a bone scan of hind limbs and pelvis next week but at my wits end :( vet has no idea as 90% sure she would block out sound at the stifle, and poor horse is consistently 7/8 out of 10 lame on a circle, soft or hard makes no difference. but better in a straight line though still not sound.
any thoughts experiences would be very much appreciated!!
TIA XX

yeah like said she's having a bone scan of hind limbs and pelvis next week, surely stifle would have blocked out if it was in there? fracture would not be good.. would she not likely to be as lame in a straight line though? x
