I'm looking to get a willing victim (ok maybe a bit drastic - he's not THAT bad a ponio
) to help me exercise my section B gelding - i get round to riding him maybe a couple of times a week, but as i'm trying to concentrate on my 5 year old as well as work full time he kind of gets left by the wayside
So i'm really after a reliable (am i being too hopeful?) small adult or alternatively a teenager that is happy to hack him out at least 3 or 4 times a week for me - not worried about schooling but if they want to as well then they can. Also happy for them to do local shows on him if they wish. Not looking for any financial contribution other than shoes, and no stable chores. I've devised the following ad, and would like some honest comments:
I have a much loved 13hh Welsh section B gelding in need of someone to ride him. He is 18 years young and loves to have fun. We have good riding locally, does include road work but he is 110% in even the heaviest of traffic. There are lots of people that ride out from yard, myself included on my other Horse. Ideally looking for a small adult (I'm 5'6 and 8stone and he takes me easily) as he does need someone to tell him who's boss. He has manners to burn on the groung, but ridden can sometimes put in the odd cheeky buck. He is a seasonal headshaker but this is managed 100% by a nose net and you would not know it otherwise. I really need someone reliable who can ride him 3+ times a week. No stable chores expected and no financial contribution other than paying for his shoes 6 weekly (he has fronts only - £32). We have a small indoor school and an outdoor with small selection of showjumps (he has a huge jump!). We are a 10 minute hack from x-country course, as well as a couple of miles from Oldencraig and Felbridge for unaffilliated dressage and jumping - he does a nice test! Please call Alex if you want to discuss further.
what do people think? Have i made him out to sound like a monster? He does need someone that can ride - deffo not a childs pony (although i managed ok
!). Also - am i being realistic thinking someone would be happy hacking out a 13hh pony, or do you think people would rather ride something 16hh and a bit more 'fancy'??
