Ad sorted- now a HOW MUCH? - Bcos I know you all love these!

SAMgirl I would take it as a compliment that people think you are too professional to be genuinely asking for advice LOL!!!

Don't be offended, anyway. Other websites I know won't allow you to post this sort of thread unless the horse is being advertised (in a proper paid-for ad) on their website - as these 'how much' threads can be seen as 'free advertising'.

To me, it seems like a rather risky way to advertise one's horse, as people can often put rather stingy values on them!

Anyway, for it's worth, it didn't even occur to me that your post might not be a genuine request for advice!

And your horse looks lovely - although I agree with others that the video isn't doing him any favours. I would either make a new one or just leave it out. If he's going much better now I'd say it would be worth the effort to make a new video.

I can't be much help on price - I really only know about Arabs - but I would have thought a minmum of £7K.

I think his walk really lets him down and the fact that he hasnt got any points would also drop his price. If he was out competing and had qualified I think you could advertise him at a lot more.

At the mo I wouldnt pay more than 7k after watching the video.
Would it not be possible to keep him a month and get him out competing? I think it would do him loads of good.

The problem you are going to have is that he isnt registered and therefore isnt proven! This will lower his price.

Also please do not put he is an ideal Young Rider Horse, YR horses have to be at PSG not elem!
Nice animal tho, can u send me some more info on him?
I.E the rest of his lines!

QR Is this the same Reiziger competing at unaffiliated prelim at Myerscough in july? You would probably be able to ask more if you kept him a while and clocked up some BD points. Good luck with your ad!

I think he is stunning and I dont really know why people are giving you a hard time to be honest.

I would say 7-8k, but I would recommend getting him out there and getting some points, then you could get an even better price for him!

He is scrummy!

He's gorgeous, sounds like exactly the sort of thing I'll be looking for in a couple of months.

Fancy keeping him on hold till then?

<looks cheeky>

Personally I would get him registered then you could probably ask about 8.5k, looking at other adverts for similar types. I totally agree with you not putting that he is suitable for a novice in your advert as that usually attracts real beginners in my experience.
