Addicted to buying horse gear?

I used to spend a fortune on horse gear when I had T. Unfortunately I did spend more than I was earning and landed myself a huge credit card bill. I got it cleared eventually and then I went travelling. Having to live on a budget whilst travelling, and living out of a small backpack with just the essentials taught me so much! I'm now a saver and very careful with spending money (I'm saving to go off travelling again) ...oh how times have changed.

I would, however, love to win the lotto and go on a spending spree... for good measure and all that! :P

I am heavily relying on winning that 37 million tonight. otherwise I will have to continue to work for my money which just doesnt seem to be very palatable.

Problem is the lottery win means you don't have to stop at saddle cloths and ears, colour co ordinated custom horsebox would be on the list....

I am addicted too! Also when I am bored the first thing I do is 'just have a look'. I get so excited when I'm sat at my office desk and the delivery man walks in with lots of gifts to me, from me :)

I do try and avoid it... However every few days I manage to "convince" myself that I need x/y/z product for my horse.

On the whole I generally avoid buying them, but occasionally I cave in to my cravings.

This week I think I should be getting a second nice thick saddlecloth so both my horses can have one, instead of having to share, but then I question myself, do I really need to spend £30 on a new saddlecloth when I've got a load of perfectly good ones at home

You're not alone. I'm supposed to be saving for a mortgage and this month I have bought ... a brand new dressage saddle (I only wanted a second hand one for when we compete. I already have a brand new jumping saddle) a saddle cloth, stirrup leathers, stirrups, girth, sheepskin half pad, exercise bandages and a new bit.

last month I went on a shopping spree and spent close to £400 on things I didn't really need. All I needed was some new cross country gear and some cross country boots for my lad!!

I need help ...
