Well it was an early startas it took us 2 hours to get there but what a lovely day.
The music was being held in the international indoor arena. Well ,what a super arena. My daughter was second in and the first horse looked fabulous. Rafi wasn't keen on the table the judges were sat at and they had not had a chance to practice with the new music but they were stars. It went great and I was so proud. We put him away as there was a 3 hour wait until his next test. We watched the others and marvelled at the quality of the horses and riders, thinking we were outclassed.
Well we were thrilled ,they came 2nd with just over 70%, half a % less than the winner.
We met Freestyler and fell madly in love with her horse and she was great, and her friend Hazel was the best looking 60 year old I've seen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We met Jo [ help don't know how the rest of her name was spelt] and her friend. Wow They won the music and were in the lead in the novice[77%], they were lovely and very knowledgable. They also did well in the elementary.
Rafi did a nice test in the novice champ but was a bit tired and on his forehand but got a good 67% and had a mistake so would have been 68%.Not good enough for a place but in such good company we were thrilled with him.
I thoroughly enjoyed the day. It was made really special because we met such lovely HHO people who we hope to keep in touch with.We all watched and supported each other .
Addington gave lovely prizes and it was one of the nicest dressage shows I have been to.We will be writing to tell them how great it was .

Hi Carthorse, it was me you met with my friend Jane. (I'm also Jane by the way which gets very confusing at times!!)

It was a fabulous day and Jane was thrilled to win both the Novice Music and the Novice Championship with that humongous score of 77%. She has worked so hard with that horse who was written off as dangerous and unrideable in the past, and after having a bad time losing her previous horse so young I'm delighted that it's finally working out for her. She works her socks off in a very high pressure job and rides her horse after work in all weathers and temperatures in order to achieve these results.

I have to admit to shedding a tear or two on her lap of honour!!

We really enjoyed talking to you and your daughter and I have to say it was a pleasure watching her ride. She and Rafi present a happy and harmonious looking partnership who look to be training along very correct lines. I wish you the best of luck in your comps next week and genuinely look forward to seeing you again in the future.

I also met up with Freestyler again who is a laugh a minute and another who works hard to juggle horse and job and gets some fabulous results.

Will be sending mega vibes for you at the Nationals Freestyler.
Go kick arse girl!! You can do it.
Jane.

So sorry to have a blonde moment with your name.I loved today,Rafi is a lovely young horse and a joy to own,he is not bred for dressage but we are really enjoying it so much. Today was a great day not just because we were pleased to get a prize, it was the people. I talked to lots of lovely people most of who work hard to afford this expensive sport. I loved the venue and have emailled them to thank them for a lovely show. Shame about the diary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Which trophy did Jane get? I know we will hear alot more about her and her lovely horse ,who found her.
Claire works so hard to juggle her 2 year old daughter, teach at pony club[ just become a B test examiner] work her 2 horses and of course do a dangerous and demanding job.I love her to bits ,as you probably could see
