ADDINGTON .......MOAN!!!!!!!!

My instructor was saying she was at the instrutors meeting at addington and the subject of customer service came up... everyone pansied around the subject not mentioning specific venues until someone just came out with

'well lets all admit it its this place, isnt it!?!'

Lots of people arnt impressed but the fact that it does hold so many events and is a lovely venue means that people will continue to go there, and continue to bite their tongues at how down right rude they can be.

Sarah Green has responded on BD web site.......it is amazing how many people are or have been unhappy with Addington...I think if we air our views in a polite and tactful manner POSSIBLY, they may listen???!!!

I must admit, I have never been to a Centre before and come across this......most are helpful and understanding of our needs on a day of a show.......

I know just how you feel about Addington. I entered a SJ competition last year, said to get your time off the internet, they didn't even update there website, so called on the Sunday morning to explain this to be told that yes there site had been down and if i didn't get there within an hour could possibly miss my slot! Explained that was impossible and was allowed to jump at the end of the class. Gave them the benefit of the doubt went back in October to jump my very green 4 year old to have the person on the gate allow someone else into the ring whilst i was about to canter past them to the last fence, whose horse napped and stood on its back legs! I shouted at them to move and got told off by the person that runs Addington. That there is no rule against having 2 horses at a time in the ring and i should just deal with it and if i can't shouldn't be at a show! I am afraid he got a piece of my mind! At £22 pound a class, yes the venue is lovely, but the attitude stinks and i won't be going there again if i can help it! I also know that he has upset many top riders with this same attitude. As a show centre you surely rely on your customers and should look after them.

I will be interested to know if the person who used to own it still does or not? Lovely lovely lady who was very helpful and kind to me when on ponies but although she helped out with running it back then (10 years ago) she effectively didn't control it. I think she may still own it but has given lease of the centre and therefore total control to who ever has the lease. If she does still own it is tempting to dig out her contact details as she would hate to know how it is being run....
