So alarm went off at 3.30am......hoping to get an early night but as my friend had dropped off her box to me (now proud owner of a lorry!!) she stayed at mine until 8pm.....and I did have a glass of wine too!!!! (Not good when you have an early start!!)...or was it two??!!! tehe!!

Well, Mister was not pleased to be woken at 4am....didnt eat his breakie, plaits were a ummm... a little messy from the night before......sorry could not get up at 2.30 just to allow time to plait!!

Arrived at Addington at 7amish and found Jlav walking her doggie!! Nice to see you again chuck! saw a lady who was quite miffed by the fact that when she arrived last night they had locked up the place and even the loos poor thing!! Sorry, not impressed!!

So, unsure where to warm up, but decided to warm up outside as I was competing outside.............there was not a soul about........Ekkk!! Poor Mister was rather tense and opted for a passagy trot, leg yield was non existent!! He was not listening to me at all.....Jlav came along and told my friend to stand in the middle with me and talk to try and loosen him up a little etc.........he did, but was still not responding..........eventually he did but alas I think by this time he had run outa petrol!!

Went up to the arena at 8.25am, guessing I should just walk in as the Judges were there but no one had told me to go in, trotted around half the arena and the bell went!......

Well, Mister went into pipe n slipper and smoking a joint mode!! Little @@@@@*****!!!!!! I must have looked like the images of Thelwell ponies as I tried desperately to get him to move his blooming arse!!!

We gained a grand total of 65.07%!!!!

........Lesson to be learnt......dont do early mornings, get your horse moving off your leg, and if in doubt just smile!!!!!!!!!

I will have another bash on Saturday...............all a learning curve eh??!!

Well Jlav and Jane and Carthorse competed today as well and I shall not tell you how they did as you will have to wait for their report!!!!!!!!!!

Didnt manage to spot anyone else??
 
All i can say is good effort for getting there on time!! Seriously though i don't know a huge amount about dressage but score sounds pretty good to me especially at a regional. Well done you can finish that bottle of wine now!!
 
WELL DONE!! You must be totally shattered. LOL at pipe and slippers mode. Bless him. He must have thought you were mad waking him at stupid o'clock.

Good luck on Saturday. My trainer is in the PSG music tonight - wish I could have gone to watch, but couldn't get away.
 
Being first in is horrible isn't it. Sounds like a reasonable score, though I take it that at the regionals it wasn't high enough. Good luck for Saturday!!!

Well done - that is still a very good score to get at the regionals regardless of whether he was off your leg or not!! Which class was it you did today? (sorry i cant remember what everyone is doing when!!)

I bet you are exhausted now tho x
 
Hiya FMC!! My saviour!! I didnt see you?? Mind you I left at about 12.30 once I knew I was not in the top 10 for the roundy roundy!! Hubby was tired and hungry!!!!!! I think I was about 5th in Restricted...but many more to go so not sure of my placing.......Doing E Restricted on sat...so no you are not writing for me..phew!!!!!!

thanks Lottie3, halfstep,fiona, tempi...........3.30am is NOT ON!!!...I remember when i use to party to that hour...not get up!! LOL!!! Elementary Music tempi.....although next year I am not conforming to "no lyrics".......!!!! Didnt enjoy it as much as qualifyer once I changed my music!!!! Plus outside they only had two speakers and really, sorry to say it did not sound good at all, was very low and left much to be desired. Sorry, my honest opinion!!! Not impressed with audio at all outside! Inside was fab, sounded good, loads of speakers and really could feel the atmosphere of dressage to music.......

Well done for the score, I think that is a good score at the Regionals with all the extra pressure etc etc. Please say you have a better time on Saturday for the elementary

Hey thats a good score. We would have been pleased with that at an 'ordinary' elem comp let alone the Regionals. Its always harder marking there.

You must be absolutely knackered.

Good luck for the next one.

Oh and where are the piccies?
 
FREESTYLER - Well done you...you are very brave..I think you did great- and how posh you must have felt in your new lorry. You will do well on saturday I can feel it.....what did you think of the mucking out. I do apologise if I have done this message wrong, only the second time I have posted one............
 
Thanks..I suppose he does not like being woken half way through the night and working in all by himself in such a large place outside!!

Photographer missed me! Tut!! He was not there for me....

especially as you said he was hard work!
Can't believe the photographer didn't get any piccies though, make sure you drag him to the arena for your test on Sat!!
 
Sorry I missed you yesterday but well done anyway.

It's rotten having to be first in but at least you missed the rain and the crowded indoor working in!

The idea of turning round and doing the 5hr round trip again tomorrow at 6.30 is not looking too appealling but I am going to sleep all day Sunday! (Well, after having sorted all five neddies and their stables out!)
I'm getting too old for this lark!
