Hi 4faulter, I'm there tomorrow, which class are you doing?

[/ QUOTE ]
I'm just lorry driver, groom, trainer, shoulder to cry on and general dogs body.
Wife is the competitor. She is number 190 at 12:11 doing medium restricted.
You?

ha ha, can I cry on your shoulder too

I'm number 212 on 10.05 in the elementary.

Maybe catch up with you for a cuppa!

Good Luck to both for tomorrow.

We were there last night, got back at about 1am this morning and am now propped up here trying not to think about the mucking out waiting for me outside!

There were some lovely horses and tests yesterday in the music classes.

We just about held our own I think amongst all the bright, young things wearing their Union Jack badges, riding their amazing horses, that came out of their mega lorries, groomed to perfection by their army of grooms!

We were 6th in the Advanced Medium and 9th, I think, in the PSG.

I was reasonably happy with the first test but by the second one I think we were a bit flat and most, but not all
wink.gif
, of the others were deservedly ahead of us.
They make it look so easy!

9th & 6th, I'd be tickled pink with that, well done!!!

I've got a 4.00am start tomorrow so not really looking forward to it, hey ho, I'll have my breakfast after my test
grin.gif

Now get outside and face that mucking out

6th and 9th at what is reputed to be the toughest regionals in the country is a dam good result.
I think the profusion of union jacks and the asset value of the car park approaching the UK national debt is a very good indication of this.
Wonder how many laughs we'll get as we turn up in our old cargo with wifes little welshie.

Hugest congratulations to you Bananaman! what a superb set of results!

You held your own against the big guns.

You must be delighted not only with your horse but with yourself too.

Well done

Vx

I didn't say who would have the last laugh though did I?
Will be interesting, just hope she remains relaxed, focussed and rides.

Thanks all.

Yes, on reflection I am quite chuffed with what the geriatric farmer's wife and her freebie cripple from the ILPH!
The only disappointment was that we'd been going quite a bit better than we performed last night, but I guess that's horses/humans for you, ie. none of us are machines!

I have to admit to having a hard job keeping a straight face as we cantered in to the tune of Pirates of the Carribbean. When a friend heard it for the first ime she exclaimed..........'Oooh, that's Carrots of the Pirabbean, isn't it?'

I was trying SO hard NOT to imagine me swashbuckling down the centre line with a carrot!!!!

I always fancied using Destinys Child...Bootylicious lol

Bananaman well done to you I would be very very pleased with these results and like the others said this is a venue with tough competition.
smile.gif
By the look of your pictures your horses are amazing too!
grin.gif
Please post pictures of your day asa!!

Good luck to everyone tomorrow hope the rain holds off...

Just wanted to add my congratulations. I was there and had a great day, shame there was not many spectators. Come on dressage fans we need to show our support. You may have not been able to make the day because of work but the evening was fantastic - you can meet up with friends have an excellent free evening out and have an evening meal.

Now I know your entry music, I remember your tests. Excellent.

6th meant you went in for the mounted prizegiving. Again, well done.

Well, I don't want to give all my secrets away but it is all that style of music........fairly upbeat, modern classical which really suits Henry as he is a bouncy little horse.
smile.gif

We used to use Instrumental Madonna and Bruce Springsteen but I think this suits him better.

Yes, I was amazed there were so few spectators there.

There was one lady in the cafe almost all day/evening taking copious notes!

I wish I'd had time to watch a few more, it's always good to get ideas for new floorplans.
wink.gif

And yes, we made the mounted prize giving which is always nice!

Sounds fantastic
smile.gif

Wish I had known you were riding, i could have come and supported you.

Okay not at your dizzy heights but a few years ago Winston and I qualified for the Patey Hats Nov and Elem championships.
We were placed in both and had to go into a mounted prize giving! i loved it, music and cantering around.
