Addington Regionals

Could have been me. Came up to support my friend and help her take videos and bespoke the music for a couple of tests. (She produces music and had a number of combinations competing all day).

It was a real education seeing the music being ridden in competition, quite often its very different from the original.

Novice restricted was won on 71%. my friend got 65.17 and came 13th. Don't know many more results than that, sorry.
Oh 4 people qualified today, as there were 52 entries

Not good. Test was indoors, mare got very spooky throughout test which was great shame.

Oh poo...It has been done up hasnt it? It looks rather grand but not so inviting to the horse!!It is soooo disappointing when you know your horse can work well but gets into an arena and thinks OH MY GOD!!! Give her a big hug and congrats for getting there!!

Nope!! Am pulling my hair out!! In fact I think I am bald... mayb just being a spoilt brat!!LOL...

I am praying but they aint being answered yet!!! I think I should just be happy that I am going to do the prelim... but I want 2 goes so if I cock up I have another chance

... Definately spoilt brat mode...ok real reason is Solihull is near my home town (live in London now) and my 72 year old pops has been waiting for YEARS mbe 30!!!

for me to get somewhere in competing !!! I soooo want to do him proud..

.he was an ex-jockey and taught me many things when I was a wee nipper galloping on my pony....

thanks !! I must admit it is hard work juggling horse/husband/job I look at my wrinkles and think AHHH!!

Then again lots of people work hard like me too...!!must be a horsey thing!!

Hi 4faulter, sorry I had to rush yesterday but horse was loaded and didn't want to impose as your wife looked a little dissappointed, how did she do overall? That indoor school isn't the nicest I must say but your wife's mare did do some lovely work, it is a shame though when the conditions don't suit because you can tell they could be really impressive and they make a great team. There's always next time tell her

These things happen. As you say, there's always next time as she has already qualified for summer regionals.
