Is it on shavings? I have phoned as we have late Friday times and early Saturday times, sounds great but as we have a 3 year old with us we thought it would be too cold for her to sleep over and we were going to come home but now it seems difficult. If anyone knows local stable with B&B or just stable. Addington won't tell me on the phone if they have any I have to fax or email my request with credit card number but not keen on emailing it and don't have a fax. Still if I can't find an alternative I will have to do it.

Why on earth can't they tell you over the phone and take your details over the phone?? Have just done that for somewhere else.

No idea ,I just phoned to ask if they had any available at short notice and they told me they won't do it over the phone,I just wanted to know if they had one and was it on shavings, I know they charge £30 as that is on schedule.

Jeez, COULD Addington be more bloody difficult???!!!!

Arrggh.

Anyway, I'm almost certain they are on shavings. Hope you get it sorted out. Addington really need to get their act together and start treating customers like customers.

Have also emailed a place with stabling and B&B it will make it rather expensive but with a 3 year old to keep warm it maybe necessary. Won't have time for the breakfast though and won't get there until about 8pm!

Interested re their charges, I was thinking at one time of going up for there eventer GP next week and the stabling was £40 or that despite it being a ticketed event for spectators!

Pretty sure their stabling is in the car park

Fee-fee would know, she has stayed there I think.

They now have a new permanent stable block at the top end of the lorry park, not sure if they will have temp stabling as well as the new block is quite large. They have always stabled on shavings before so I would be suprised if the new block is on anything else?

Never been there when occupied, the car park is on gravel so don't know what the surface is. Would it take shavings? Knowing Addington it's probably the cheapest old straw so they can make lots of money out of it

Just to add - the old temp stabling was fairly permanent and there was always quite a decent bed down in each stable, the new block has been open since at least September last year so unless they now clear the stables out completely after every use (which I would doubt!) there should be a decent amount of bed already in the stable. I have never stabled there but we were there for the u21's last year for 2 long very hot days and they (oddly!) kindly let us stand our boy in a stable rather than the lorry and the bed was quite decent and clean.

I would not be happy about faxing/emailing my credit card details either

If someone had a spare stable to rent to carthorse they could add it to our stable directory... if you want to see it then join our face book group, and spread the word.

hopefully if it grows it will be the end of shelling out lots of dosh to places like addington, and getting a better experience at a private yard

Try Singleborough stables and a Gail Kingswell truman they are 5 mins from Addington have stables and is a good B and B.
Its just off the A421 and i think they are on the list for accomadation on the addington web page
