Well look, if I say I'm going it's bound to be doomed isn't it! Horses will remove shoes/go wrong, or the lorry will find another trick up its sleeve. But I specificley asked not to work that day so you never know...

Following lesson yesterday with Geoff Luckett I have decided not to take him on thursday. Mind you, looking at the forecast I dont think anyone will be going

Lesson was brilliant. So good I'm having another one next tuesday
I just have a few minor adjustments to make to my boy and want to work on these for a couple of weeks before I go out to play again.

Quite the opposite, feeling really inspired now.
He sussed my lad out very quickly. Liked his flatwork but felt it was a little too pretty (dam dressage training) for SJ and needed to put more POW in to the response from him when asked. This was translating in to him shortening in to a fence rather than stretching. Some interesting combinations of pole placement were used and boy did my lad jump without me having to work hard

Are you sure our horses aren't related ! As you may know, i've just started having a few lessons, and my trainer has said exactly the same thing about Bo....he needs to move forward more and stretch himself rather than automatically shortenning into his fences lol!

Are you sure our horses aren't related ! As you may know, i've just started having a few lessons, and my trainer has said exactly the same thing about Bo....he needs to move forward more and stretch himself rather than automatically shortenning into his fences lol!

Does your lad have cruising blood by any chance? Apparently its not an uncommon trait in the bloodline.

Had a fantastic time.
Plan is to do my home work this week then another session with Geoff next tuesday working towards either Solihull on the 28th Jan or Addington on the 3rd feb depending on how things progress.
My lad had better start winning a few bob or I'm going to be bankrupt

I particularly want to have a crack at the Star Champ qualifier. 1.05 open would be a good warm up. Not much I can qualify my lad for so need to have a crack when I can.

Know the feeling....the Star is about the only thing we have to aim for too...unless you count the Amateur Qualifiers
