Okay I got a wrist slapped for swearing
but like many others on this forum was somewhat upset that JM07 could have comments/PM etc made/sent to them that were totally inappropriate and very unfair.

No I'm sorry Admin, thats a cop out.
You have to stand firm on some issues (and understandably so when libel is concerned) but its got to be an all or nothing.
Just because someone complains, does not mean a thread needs pulling and multiple "slapped wrists" issued, ban's given.....
I saw nothing on the "why" threat with regards to french rescue.
Swearing yes.....but come on! I've seen much much worse on other threads.
Either moderate or dont, but dont be half hearted about it.
You cannot tell one person off for a violation of T&C's on one thread and ignore it on another "just because nobody complains".
My above comment stands with regards to favoritism, I honestly cannot see it any other way.
JM was being attacked in the most disgusting manner after what can only be described as the most horrific weekend, and you chose to ban her for swearing but ignore (or issue "slapped wrists") for the other offenders amongst us??
Why so? what makes JM deserving of a ban when most other users simply got a warning?
Lucretia.....again another helpful member of this forum. Why was she banned but others not? (most not even recieving a warning)
Admin unless you address these issues, you are going to be left with an empty forum (which would be a shame given how well used it has been over the years?), as unfairness and favoritsm seems to be order of the day.
My view is you should reinstate both, set some CLEAR rules and act accordingly when broken.

Hell admin-H&H mag is loosing readers by the day.
Keep up this cull of members on HHO that-lets face it were big hitters whose only crime is A.not to but advertising space in H&H or B.Don't seem to share your views and very soon you could be staring at a blank screen.

The rules are clearly laid out in the terms and conditions. The H&H forum is not moderated. We act when we are alerted to posts by complaints. In each case we review the thread and take whatever action we feel is appropriate in that specific case.
That is the way that the forum has always been run and there are no plans to change this. This is a free service that you can choose to take advantage of, or not, as you prefer.

Somehow I don't think admin will be all that bothered about it. They aren't 'cutting their noses off to spite their faces' because this is a free service .. by losing a few member nothing will change , they aren't losing subscriptions (to the forum)

i think admin is being very shortsighted.it doesnt take much for something like this to snowball.i wouldnt underestimate how far people will go to show their dissatisfaction at the way certain members were treated.after all any magazine is only as successful as their readership numbers
