Adult competing on pony?

I too have the same problem of my pony jumping over things I would rather he did not such as his stable door!

Great photos everyone, and beautiful ponies. :D
The gate she is standing beside here is 4'6". I measured the height of it after she jumped out of the school TWICE, over this gate, from a trot ! She would have gone on to be a very good competition pony.

Thank you, I would also add my propotions are that I am short in leg and long in body so that might make a difference.

There are people a lot taller than us on much smaller ponies jumping the big HOYs M&M workers so I think you would be fine on a 13.2 forester especially if it was one of the more substantial types like my pony.

Both my saddler and my instructor have said my pony is just the right size for me. Also makes tacking up, groomnig and handing easier as well before I got my pony I shared a 15.1 for 4 years and it is so much easier with practical things having a pony more in proportion to my height than having the bigger one.

The new forest enthusiasts riding club is currently RC of the year and they have lots of adults on ponies including ones under 14h competiting at top level RC and doing really well.

Aww, he looks lovely Charem!

SO1: he looks gorgeous! You look really good on him, not at all top heavy. I was concerned I looked big on the 13.2 welshie I used to ride but looking at the pics of you and your new forest, you look fab! :)

I certainly couldn't get on anything bigger than 15hh from the floor - my leg wouldnt reach!!
