Guesses for adult heights please...

My little oscar is currently standing 15.0hh at 22 months. His dad was 17.2hh WB from orlando B/L's and Mum is 15.1-2hh TB. He is currently bum high!!! Gueses on adult height?

And my friend has Tara she is 20 months and stands 15.2hh same dad as Oscar, Mum is 16.2hh Cleveland bay..... Guesses on adult height?

Also what are the theories behind your guesses?

I'm sorry I can't help you with this other than to suggest trying the breeding section. I think there's also some measure of how tall a horse should grow based on the length of the cannon bone -- but I don't know how to do this...and I'm not sure if it's true or hogwash. But worth asking the breeding experts I reckon!

Not scientific but usually works

Get a piece of baler twine, measure their length of a front leg, then turn it round (still holding it a the top of their leg IYSWIM) and the other end will be where their withers are when they have matured.
