Thank you all for the lovely comments!! I do think there needs to be a adult riding pony club as i seem not to be alone! My husband has been telling me all along that i look fine on her and i didnt believe him!! i may even go to a local show soon which i wouldnt of consider earlier through fear of looking silly!

And thank you all for the ego boast about my youthfulness!!!

Definitely get yourselves out to some shows - there are a surprising number of us that ride ponies you know! There are always classes you can go in that have other adults in, and even if you are in with a load of kids it is still fun!! My pony and I are off to the Ultimate Showcase of Champions next week

Heres me riding my beautiful boy ! Hes 14.1 on tip toes ! and I'm 5'4 on tip toes ! I weigh between 9 1/2 and nearly 10 on a bad day !

Here he is with a friend of mine shes about 5ft9 and not sure about weight but at least a couple of stone heavier than me, shes jumping him round a 3'6 track !

I LOVE ponies, and I think I will always have a pony !

There are some lovely ponies on this thread!! Jodie, you and twinkle look completely fine. I would not have said you were too big for him although, as you say, your legs may be rather long! If you feel comfortable then you have nothing to worry about!
