I know lots of Sec D's and Fells/Highlands are shown by adults but what about Sec A,B and C? Or smaller breeds- are the classes restricted by age? or can anyone ride in the show ring say a 13hh?
I'm asking as I have only really shown Hunters so dont know about little uns!

We always see a little man at Cheshire show riding a Sec A, but he is literally very small and looks right on it. He shows it in-hand, and I assume shows it ridden although I only see him in the warm up?

Local shows I know a few adults who ride section Cs.

I've seen an adult showing a shetland at county level, she wasn't much smaller than me and it made me want to run out and get one!!

When I was a child I used to do a lot of showing with my Mums section A's and B's, and it was quite common place for the open classes to have adults riding them. I'm 100% certain its still the case.

Wasn't Olympia won by an adult riding a Sec B a year or so ago? Though I have to say to my eye she looked a trifle bizarre as it was like seeing this child's body with an adult head stuck on top (apologies if I offend anyone by that comment!)

it's fine for adults to ride smaller breeds, providing they are a sensible size for the pony.......
