Hi
I am thinking I should give a new riding school a go, mainly because I would like to help out with horses more rather than just riding, and after my offer being turned down by YO, I was really down and it was suggested that I change riding school.
I was wondering what you people find good when you change riding schools- and livery yards while we are one the subject. I don't have a horse but I'm interested in why people change livery yards and riding schools too! :)
Thanks

when I was learning to ride I went to about 5 different riding schools! I kept changing because I got bored of doing the same thing over and over- so when I went to a new one i got to learn new school movements, etc etc

in your position i would move - for your riding its good to get a fresh pair of eyes or a different instructor, but if you want to do more with the horses and the current yard wont let you then i'd defiantly give it a go :) you could always go back if it doesn't work out!

i've moved livery yards for a number of reasons - odd yard owners/people/distance/jobs and type of livery needed all being some of them :)

I move riding stables a lot. This is for different reasons. I had a lovely riding school in Devon and since moving I'm trying to find one like it.

I move once I feel I'm not learning anymore. I moved once after the owner told me I couldn't ride well. It's my biggest regret I moved rather than said that's why I'm here.

If I wasn't allowed to untack my horse at the end, I would move. It has taken about 5 riding stables in the last two years until I found the one I'm happy with.
