Looking at the ingredients, there is oat oil and oat flour. Anyone had any adverse effects when using Succeed for hind gut ulcers (I'm thinking it sounds like rocket fuel)

If you search Succced in the search function you'll find loads of posts about it. I dont think anyone has ever posted a negative review about it.

I only know one person who used it and I think they really rated it iirc

I think I will go down that route. I've lost most of this year due to 'behavioural' problems that just seem to have a cause at the moment. Physio found little of interest, gastroscope was pretty clear, just sent off hair for pssm test, and an awaiting an appointment with The Horseback Vet. Next would be looking at xrays and blood test, but for the sake of putting my hand on my pocket to buy a supplement, that may be worth a go to see what happens. I don't mind 'no improvement' as I guess that would confirm there are no hind gut issues. I just don't want to make matters worse by potentially feeding rocket fuel ?

Lots of people have had success with it.
But not mine! It made him worse, more grumpier and unhappy. It didn't work like rocket fuel though.

I’m sat on the fence with succeed- had two that it didn’t seem to produce any discernible effect with (other than on my wallet!), but it didn’t do anything negative either.

I've used it twice and have one on it now. Never had any adverse effects at all. Each time it has helped.

Current horse is on it as he came out of racing and just wasn't developing that great an appetite. I wanted to do a few months on a decent gut supplement so started Succeed. Within 3 weeks he had put weight on and is eating more and just seems happier. I'm going to give him 6 months on it then see. Certainly no adverse effects at all, I'm very happy with the outcome.

My vet cannot work out why it works, which offends her greatly :D but a number of her equine patients have, like mine, seen dramatic improvements on it. Some horses need one course and can then come off it, but others have to stay on it or they regress. I’m keeping mine on it.

I feed the powder. Initially I used the syringes, the mare thought they were yummy and would stand loose in the stable to have her daily dose(s). She now eats the powder, which is a bit cheaper.
