It is with sadness that the beautiful mare I bought from CVS Stud, Floppy Big Ears (AKA CVS Summertime) has to be advertised for sale

I don't have the set up to have her at mine, we have no space and Boss, who has been BEAUTIFULLY producing her is off home for the summer.

Dithering about which photos to use - we need a main one and then 2 further.

Thoughts please!

Probably 3 but its a toss up between 3 and 1, or you could just not advertise her and give her to me????? I think she's gorgeous

I'd say she looks as though she's more relaxed and is going more ''correctly'' in pic 3 but i can see why pic 1 would attract people.

I really really like her such a shame you have to sell her

hope she finds a fantastic home hmmmm can I get my friend to build me another stable

I like no. 2 she looks forwards and relaxed

I put 2 and 4. I am not good at these things but in one looks as thow she has her head too far down and looks like could be heavy in the hand if you don't see the others.
I do like 5 but being picky looks like she is standing on herself although it nearly always is the camers angle. In 5 she looks light and listening.
Now you can see why i am a ground person and gave up rideing

Lovely horse all the same. How old is she?

2, 5 and 4. However I also like 3 as she is working where I would expect a young horse to be, long and low.

I really don't like greys, however, she is very nice

I think 3 should be your main photo and at least one jumping one should be in there probably 4. I agree photo 3 shows her working well over her back and I expect those looking for a performance horse would like to see that in a youngster.

If I was buying I would only be tempted by number 3 - looks like correctly produced youngster on it.
Lovely mare

See, this is where I get indecisive because yes, I prefer that as a pic but I think in number 2 she is going text-book how a 4yr old should- nicely up and in a good balance, nose slightly in front of vertical, ears twitched listening, tracking up and good hocks.

I suppose it's all much of a muchness- we're putting up 3 supplementary pics so can have a nice range

The reason I prefer No 3 to No 2 is that I like to see that a young horse is taught to seek the bit/stretch at least a little. I like No 2 too though for the reasons you mentioned. No 3 just has all the reasons above PLUS nice seeking reflex

Been an interesting exercise I feel

Personally I hate number 1 - yes it is *showy* but it isn't what I like to see in a horse that has JUST turned 4. However, I knew it would catch people's eyes, hence asking performance horse people to give their tuppence worth (and that is not meant as a comment to disrespect anyone else, but that is the market she will be aimed for).

I like 2 and 3 best

Boss and I have identical views on where we like to see horse's heads at each stage of training, which is usually different to what a lot of others like to see which is breaking in the neck - the only redeeming thing about pic 1 is that it is obvious that Flops IS working through.

Thanks everyone!
