Right, I am selling both my horses- Tara is 90% sold, and have lots of people lined up if the sale falls through, so not worried about her.

Lady has had less interest (suprisingly, we thought it would be the other way round)- had one person come to try her but, to put it politely, they wheren't suitable

we have some keen people from Gurnsey (sp), but have nobody else lined up, so think we need to readvertise.
So, we thought of advertising her in h&h. We don't usually yse h&h as it is pretty expensive! So want to find out if it is worth it.
How much response have you got from h&h?
Another option which is more expensive still, is having a featured advert on horsequest. This way her advert won't get lost, but it is expensive.

What do you recon is the best option? Thanks for any help, much appriciated!

No one wants to talk to you do they ?

As a buyer I am nervous about phoning and I hate it if there is just a mobile no and no indication whereabouts the horse is.

From experience of viewing from ads post good photos I dont like ads with no or bad photos.

Purely personal but I have tried a horse that looked fantastic tacked and ridden but nogood stripped. The ridden photo didnt show how little bone the horse had as it was well booted up. This may not be important to a lot of people but is to me.

Mak sure photos are in focus saw an advert for well over 10k and when you clicked on thumbnails they were blurred.

Make sure the camera angle is right so the horse is in proportion.

I dont know if this helps or not :-)

When I was looking I would look at both H&H and Horsequest. However, if the ad had fallen down the line someway on Horsequest I would assume it was sold or no good !

Either way I would say if you are going to use the feature on Horsequest make sure you put the price and a few decent photos.

when I sold recently I had a lot of response on Horsequest but then I was selling a £500 broodmare, so a totally different market.

Where are you advertising at the moment?

What are you selling. My daughters pony has to go home at some stage her loan is up next year but owner would really like her sooner and we need to look for something long term loan or to buy.You can pm me

I don't think our advert is a problem, infact we have been told by someone who phoned up about her how fab it was to read an advert as comprehensive as ours!
Going to put a flatwork pic up instead of a jumping one, as she looks more classy on the flat. Have a confo photo of her to send people. And lovely clear photos so thats not a prob

Thanks for the help though!

Sorry, I don't think this is want you want to hear as I know you think shes the bees knees and she is a nice pony however I think lady's over priced. Tara is well priced IMO hence more interest.

I really don't think the XC skinny photo does her justise either and suprised you picked that photo as I've seen way better of her. I understand you want a xc photo as shes a mean xc machine; what about the one through that brush (sorry not into eventing - but the circley thingy!!) Or the roll top? Infact the one in your sig is really good too. If not a XC one then the first dressage one on her Piczo. I know I've seen a really nice sjing one over a green and white? upright? part of a combination maybe? It was a front on veiw and portirate. Anyway she looked super in this photo I'm thinking of and really would stand out from the crowd.

How come you haven't advertised her in horsemart?

I think she'd be worth a decent H&H appearance over horsequest.

SORRY FOR THE SPELLING; THE LACK OF SLEEP IS HITTING IN BADLY!!
