Adverts ruining the forum ! >>

I have no objection to the adverts - but when you cant get onto the post on the forum becasue they keep opening - they make me want to buy the product LESS - i have never looked at ALIENWARE or Coffe Makers - so why should i have to close then 19 times before i can do what i came on here to do ?

I often do look at the adverts - but i want to be able to choose to open them !
 
they are driving me mad too, even the lightest touch with the mouse and they appear as a pop up!

The first one was an XBox game one - I wondered if my husband had been at my computer and rigged up a Christmas present hint it appeared so often!
 
Wait till you get the post office one ! its huge and the x is at the bottom right hand corner .... are they tryng to get people to log off ? and if i had my horse advertised on here i would not be happy - as the horse adverts have been squished down the bottom of the page - so thats a waste of money if your paying extra
 
I dont mind seeing adverts that relate to horse products.... i like horses, i am on a horse forum - would i look at intel core 17 Alien invasion - well no not in a month of sundays and espeially not now !

I thought it was only me - I was looking at bean to cup coffee makers earlier so I thought it had folllowed me!

The worse one is Halo 4 or whatever number it is everytime I roll the cursor over it all hell breaks out! I've never played anything like it in my life or any computer game for that matter so god knows why I get that one!

Really b annoying :o
 
yesterday when i was on soapbox i didnt know what anyone was on about but today ARGGGGG f-off stupid coffee maker advert opening!! 9 times now! taking the p!

I tried this for this reason and it completely cocked up my laptop. It installed other things such as unwanted toolbars with it and caused loads of problems eventually had to take it all off and reinstall stuff and lost all me emails in the process. :o
 
Hubs found a way to get rid of ALL adverts on the computers - and it works !! i never ever have adverts coming up on any site. We use Firefox, and the adblocker just didn't seem to work.

i used to hate the advert with the poor bear with a ring in his nose, and the constant RSPCA ads. tried the ad choice too, but that was rubbish, so hubs did some research, and voila ! no more ads ;)

Well the unwanted toolbars are completely avoidable because they are options when you download FF, you just untick them if you don't want them but they're very easy to get rid of anyway in FF options. Have you tried a system restore to a time before that download and that should get your emails back?
