Daughter is going to her first XC event next week and as pony is due for shoeing this week I have asked for stud holes. YO then asked did I want them in all four feet, or two feet, and did I want one or two holes in each shoes?

erm?

I wasn't sure so asked for one stud hole in each shoe (all four).

Do you think this will be ok? Or would just the back feet have been ok?

Also, when I go to the saddler what sort of studs do I need to buy?

I did what you did - my pony had one in each shoe. Put a small road stud infront, and depending on ground conditions a larger stud behind

just watched the video (thanks for the link)
some great tips !
i particularly like the ingenious way to clean your studs at the end of the season.
soak them overnight in Coke as it removes rust !!! makes you wonder what it does to your insides doesn't it ??
