I'm here again. My horse is on box rest with his first bout of Laminitis. He is on bute also antibiotics as he got a cough and snotty nose, it was due to the old hay I was feeding. The cough has now gone. But now I have noticed his sheath is swollen ( Bloody horses) I'm sure the vet cleaned it 2 weeks ago, because when he came out he thought the lifting of his hind legs could be a symptom of a dirty sheath. But i'm not entirely sure as he went on to treat for colic. When he had Laminitis. I've been on the net which says box rest can sometimes cause it to swell. I suppose another visit from the vet is on the cards. Just wondered if anyone had experienced this before and what would be the treatment. Obviously i can't turn out. Thanks again.
