Hi my 4 month old colt arrives on the 20th DEC he is a Shetland so at the mo hes only 29 inch , bless
I'm worrying now as i have convinced my sis to keep her pony out 24 /7 with him but ive been told that they escape really easy
i have electric fence but do u think he can get under it !! i thought it would be impossible but ive bee told that they love getting out

any idea
as i would die if i went up there and he was missing eek !!!!!
i cant afford any more fences but what about another row of tape lower down ...........oh god help

If you don't already have two levels of tape, then put in another lower level. Make sure he has learnt about the horrible, nasty fence before you leave them alone. Chances are that at just 4 months he will try to 'cling' to your other pony for company.

You will def need more fence!!!!! they can, and will squeeze out of anywhere, electric or not!!!!!

This is the fence i have around my field. It has the higher tape to prevent the larger horses leaning over, and the lower ones to prevent Inky and Ty getting out. I dont electrify all tapes just certain ones ( saves on the battery )

This is the fence inside my field ( used to strip graze ) It doesnt need a higher tape as there are no horses on the other side. if they get through it they are just in my other field. ( Inky has been known and seen to crawl underneath it if not electrified!!!) they are both 29-30 inches too
