Hi, havent posted in a while. Okay so my new horse is going really well just need some advice. Jumped yday and while he was lovely and relaxed after the jump he was really pulling and leaning, but then would go lovely and soft again until after I had jumped another fence. He hadnt been jumped for a couple of months but cant see this making any difference as he is really laid back plus was perfectly fine before and over jump. He is in a basic jointed small snaffle, although he doesnt particularly seem to mouthe up very well in it(any other suggestions). Oh and he is a 6yr TB! :D

Could he just be pulling because he was excited about jumping? If he hasn't jumped for a while?
Or maybe he was getting a little tired from jumping and finding self-carriage hard work?

Tbh I would think that this was just excitement because he hasn't jumped in awhile. If he still does it when you have been doing more jumping then it might be worth looking further into but at the moment I would take it a high spirits!
