Hi there, i am a bit of a lurker!

I was just wondering (for about 2 months) if getting back into loaning is okay, as i will be looking for a very calm/confidence giving horse due to no confidence (don't wanna hit the gravel again) riding one day in the week and weekend.

but is this too much to ask for? am i better going back to square one (riding schools:(:( ) on a horse i wont get to know ect... i like doing the mucking out and generally looking after the horse riding is a bonus to me!

sorry if this is a pointless post... Looking on here and seeing everyone having fun with horses is getting me down :( i miss it a hell of alot!

Hiya

Have you thought about trying a share first?

If you're looking for a few days a week to start with its a half way house before deciding to take on a loan

Hey, thank you for replying, sorry when i meant loaning i meant like a part loan as i know that i dont wanna to over do it as i know that i may not be up to the task of doing lots of days du to working up town.

I dont know where you are, but if you were local to me, you would be welcome to come & ride one of mine, ive got a really quiet Arab who im looking for a rider for, weve also got a dobbin Welsh cob who could do with being ridden :)

Navaho - Thank you so much for the wonderful offer, but looking at your location (west wales) your a bit far from landan! :) i hope you find someone soon! x

I think you might find a share somewhere local, people looking for 1/2 days exercis for their horse, in return for a financial contribution or livery duties if they have a 5 day livery and need help on weekends.

There are a few sharers around me in Herts. Its pretty much like part loaning although sometimes slightly cheaper.

Local tack shops are good places to look for adverts, or places like worldofhorses have a loan/share section.
