Hey just looking for a bit advice. Will try and keep this short -
I have 2 whippets and bf has an American Akita. My little whipplets get a predomintly raw diet but I do keep them on a small amount of kibble as well. they currently get wainwrights and the Akita was on Beta large breed puppy as that's the food that came from the breeder but on doing research it isn't really the best of dry food.
So we were looking to put all dogs onto ACANA as it seems one of the best kibble (as stated my whippets get limited kibble but I do like to keep them on it a bit) and we were hoping to have them all on the same (Akita isn't keen on raw though I do add meat to her diet where I can)
Can they all go on the same ACANA provided we provide the akita with other means of getting the oild etc for her joints as as far as I can see this is the main difference between regular kibble and "large breed" or is the better to be kept on a large breed variety? It is more for convenience to have them on the same but we want to do the best for the dogs so happy to continue with 2 different if necessary!
Akita is only 1ye 4 months and I have actually read some articles stating that they shouldn't be on puppy large breed too long as it forces them to grow too quick and puts extra pressure on their joint...
Any help would be appreciated!
