Advice needed- Eye Ulcer/swelling

Does anyone have any advice on eye ulcers please? My horse has one after knocking it the other day, but tonight the eye has swollen up so much it is pretty much always closed and weeping alot. I was wondering if this is a normal effect of the ulcer, or whether he may have a foreign body in the eye? Vet will come out tomorrow and he is on painkillers for tonight, but just wondered if anyone else has experience of this condition?

My horse recently scratched his eye. His eye was closed and weeping. The vet came and put in green dye and showed us where the scratch was. The original ulcer went after about two weeks of drops then he developed another ulcer. cant remeber its name. Other drops did not clear this so vet took his blood and spun into eye drops. He ended up being given drops for about 7 weeks and us doing the dye test every week. Luckily he is fine now but we had a few problems getting drops in and doing test. Until we cracked it by just putting the drops in the corner and the last lot of drops had a rupper tube on end which was so much easier. I was concerned that we had caused the other ulcer by putting the drops in but vet said no it was his antibiodies that could not cope with the ulcer. Hope all goes well for you
