advice needed on 3yo confirmation fault

Long backs are a little more forgivable in mares - they need somewhere to put the extra plumbing !!!
An excessively long back can be weak. You may also have more problems getting the horse together, & working through from behind - think in terms of the hind leg having further to travel to come underneath the horse far enough if that makes sense.
If you loved it in every other way get someone else to look at it for you, or PM some pictures? I don't think it would be fair to post on open at this stage as it isn't your horse.

Pst, it's conformation.

A long back is one of those things that tends to stay the same. If it's a good back (good loin connection, nice hip/wither) then I wouldn't be too worried. A long back with a weak loin etc would bother me a lot more.

Agree with above... a long back can be weaker and often creates a weak lumbar region. This makes engagement of the hindlimbs more of a challenging act to perform.

Also, it requires support from other areas of the body and in time can develop muscular stress in the loins, shoulders, chest & neck.

Although as stated above, mares often show long backs to accomodate for pregnancy.

Conformation wont change in time!!!
