Brief history, tense back which is better but not there yet, he is under physio for that, a bad fitting saddle which is being sorted out asap, which isn't easy.
The problem he had at first before the physio was unable to select the correct lead leg on the right rein in canter and his right side is far stiffer than his left work, but we feel an improvement, however I have noticed that on the lunge he really struggles on his downward transistion with his right hind more like he stumbles into it, he will go trot to canter to trot to canter fine with correct leg leading its just the downward transition isn't smooth.
He isn't lame, there is no tail swishing and on the lunge no changing of legs in canter. I have just phoned the vet to see if they will come out and look at him, he is 12 so wondering if he is a little arthiritic(sp), but looks fine during the canter , so I'm not sure.
Has any one any thoughts what it could be, I suppose when I've re read this, it could all be related to his poor saddle fitting , but I don't like to see him like this. Also I'm not sure if I should be riding him etc etc, I've borrowed a larger saddle by the way.
