I initially put this in new longue, but someone suggested putting it in here,so here we go!
In 2008 my mare lost a foal so went away as a foster mare.
To cut a long story short, the lady that had my mare looking after her foal, put her in foal for me and had her scanned 4 times. All paid for by her to say thankyou.
A few months ago my mare foaled(full term)and had twins...one dead and one died 48 hrs later.
Anyway,i had to have the vet out to my mare and it cost me 350 pounds.
I contacted the lady that had my mare and the vets that delt with my mare whilst she was away, who admitted they had scanned her 4 times and missed twins.
The vets told me to write a letter, included my vets bills, and to claim off their insurance. They have offered me 150 pounds, not half of my vets bills!!
What would you do in this situation.....fight for more or just accept the money already offered?
Are the vets admitting liability by offering me money?
