so the background is that About two years ago I got my first ever part-loan. I looked after her for around 6 months, loved her to bits and she taught me loads. The share only ended because the mare had on/off lameness that got progressively worse, until the owner revealed he knew about this prior to loaning her to me and thus retired her, with only occasional hacks.
So today I came across an advert for her to be part loaned again. From the advert I can read that the new owner has had her since January and is now bringing her back into work. She is advertised as an all rounder, forward going with a huge jump. Whilst this is true I know she is likely to go lame within the coming months.
I dont think the current owner would know of her lameness, because her old owner is unlikely to mention to a buyer, he never mentioned it to me as a loaner and I saw other similar things with other horses. He was not the nicest I have met for many reasons!
So my question is, Do I message the owner and tell her what I know? Would you want to know? Would you message her?
I am concerned for the mare as I really loved her, she was a sweetie; I still have lots of photos of her and she is still very local to me too. She's up on preloved.
However I feel like maybe its not my business. For all I know she could have been treated (he never had a vet to her though), or the new owner could be perfectly aware of her past issues. I don't like sticking my nose in or causing trouble, but I am of course worried about her.
I hope you can all understand an hopefully advise me..
