Advice needed with feed

My horse has an injury so is on box rest for 4 weeks. He is a TB and was looking great until his accident.

I posted a question on stable yard but no-one has responded. What can I replace Baileys No 1 with?

If you email baileys they will help you. I have a TB and mine has Baileys 17 and alfa oil a scoop of each a day.

Am I right that No 1 is to promote weight gain? I'd feed him ad lib hay or haylage and if you feel the No 1 would be too much whilst on box rest maybe unmolassed sugarbeet, chaff and a general balancer? Agree with Sue C to have a word with Baileys and see what they suggest.
