My horse cut himself just at the side of his leg near his tendon , vet out cleaned trotted up sound and bandaged , bandage changed Friday no swelling wound looking good , removed bandage yesterday all good , this am leg swollen horse trotted up sound , cold hosed and given him bute , could the bandage have slipt caused the swelling ?, help please x

Probably normal healing reaction, if the bandage was slightly looser it has allowed the fluid in the area to build up, if it is cold, he is sound, I would not worry it should go down if he gets moving either walking inhand or turn out if allowed.

It takes 3 days for an infection to set in prbably got an infection, need some trimed or norodine for 5 days, clean, cold hose lots, bandage, should be fine.

Hi he is sound leg is hot but trotted up sound , just worried bandage may have slipped or been put on to tight x

Please get the vet out, we lost my sisters 11year old IDx to cellulitis, despite her having vet treatment and antibiotics. Never take a risk with leg infections!
