My Rotti Georgia has very sore eyes at the moment, I think she has a little bit of conjunctivitis. (Think thats how you spell it!).
She has yellow gunk coming out and they look very blood shot.

I have been cleaning them every day twice a day, and went and got some Human Eye Drops, which is called Sore Eyes.. Which is meant to stop them from itching.

Does anyone have any other idea's apart from what I have been doing and going to the vets

If I can try things first before taking her to the vets then I will.

Do you have any pics you can show us?

Is there any red tissue present?

Poor darling - maybe she has hayfever... this may sound stupid but milk soothes the eyes!!! (Not drinking it - applying it in an eye bath!!)

ALSO I believe that piriton can be given to dogs too... not sure on quantity though.. but I DEFO read that somewhere... might sort out any inflammation. x

Best advise - go to the vets! Rotties sometimes have entropian (in turning eyelids) which causes irritation and conjunctivitis but if left sometimes ulceration of the eye. It sounds like your dog has some sort of infection and will probably need antibiotic eyedrops that you need to get from your vet. If she has entropian too then she may need that correcting to stop the problem reoccurring.
Good Luck, hope she feels better soon.

My Rottie used to suffer with her eyes and the vet told me to use Fusiderm cream round them NOT in them. To be honest I would contact your vet I don't like messing around when the eye is involved. Hope she's feeling better soon!!

No - her eyes are just blood shot (Like when they have just woken up!)...

I am going to keep trying with the milk and see what happens, then I will take her to the vets!

She is going to the vets Friday morning - the milk was good in the short term, however this morning they were back to how they were before

If it's conjunctivitis, Brolene eye ointment (the ointment is easier to apply than the drops) has work on my JR before

.

Use "Optrex Infected Eyes" you can get it from the chemist, I use this when ever my lot get conjunctivitist, which they often do coz they dig the rabbit holes up. It will work within two days if it doesnt clear up then take her to the vet
