A young stallion has been abandoned in our village, he first turned up a week ago in a field with cows and a bull, the farmer moved it onto a rough piece of land next to the original field, which we have since discovered has ragwort in it. This piece of land isnt owned by anyone, the owner died recently with no family. It looks like a Gypsy horse, has 3 shoes and is quite friendly, but it doesnt look as if anyone has been checking on him and a friend today contacted the police, RSPCA, and various charities and no one wants to know. My daughter is going to put a notice of abandonment up but in the mean time can we move him? Obviously we dont want to leave him in there, we are taking hay up to him and watering him but the ragwort is an issue.
