My filly's passport has come back from the AES, the first page is pink and says "Full Studbook" and it has her registered name on it.
The next page shows her lineage on the dams side only.
There is also no mention of her dam or sire even though they had this information when I applied for her passport.
I've tried ringing the office but can't get anyone to answer the phone.

Is this how they normally look?
I'm used to the TB Weatherby ones

it just has her dams pedigree on it but it excludes her dam!

Sounds like they have got mixed up and issued a passport for the dam not for her foal ! Defintely time to get on the phone straight away to get it sorted out. <sigh>

As eventrider says. The AES can be quite difficult to get on the phone, you just have to keep trying but they are only there part-time. They made a mistake with my filly's passport too - put all her breeding but hadn't "pink-papered" her so I rang up and moaned and sent it back for amendment.

its not un~ common for the AES to make mistakes i sent back three passports twice after mistakes on spelling and wrong colour papers, funnily enough i sent one back today with breeders details wrong, name spelt wrong

I tried them all last year and didn't even get one reply back from probably approx 20/30 emails and phone messages. Must admit I think they were disgraceful and didn't even have the courtesy to reply to anything. I wish you luck but I would never recommend them.

Try ringing 0033 672 424 926, you'll get that studbook 8am to 10pm monday through SUNDAY, even on bank holidays. With Zangersheide the customer comes first.

sorry to sound thick but who are the above????
The filly's sire is graded with the AES so I presumed she would have to registered there, especially as I did not have a covering certificate.

Depending on the sire and his level of approval. Who is the sire and what is the mares breeding?

Mare is by Be My Chief out of an In the Wings mare (TB)
graded in the main stud book SHB GB, stallion is Renkum Calliano a Holstein by Caletto I and was bred by the Renkum stud.

As your mare is main stud book SHB you can also register the foal with the SHB if you wanted to

Except that the foal already now has an (albeit incorrect) AES passport and UELN so whatever the status of the mare it can only be an overstamp.

Dont give up on chasing the AES. PM me for Henk's e-mail and chase them that way if you get desparate :-).

Ditto with my filly's passport this year! Phoned AES, moaned and returned the passport for amendment. Was really pleased to have the corrected pink papered passport returned within the week.

Toomanyhorses, you're passport is definitely incorrect. Trying ringing the AES at both ends of the day. Once you get through they are very helpful.

I have rang the AES and actually got an answer

they said they were away at Hickstead last week so a few of you were correct

I told them about the passport and it's lack of information!
So I have to send it back, and they will amend. They will have to wait though a filly is going to her first show on Sunday and we will need her passport to go with her.

I say we are going but I'm not too hopeful, we have managed to get her loaded on the wagon but unloading is another matter, she won't come off again!

this has got to be a first!

We did consider if we get there and can't unload her maybe the judge will just come and have a look in the wagon instead!!!!

Watch this space!

Oh by the way, if anyone else has problems with their AES passports, give them a ring. It seems that they have had someone else helping in that area, hence the cock up.......
