Hi,
how much does your DIY livery cost a week and what does it include??
Hay, use of field and arena, bedding etc etc.
I need a general idea of how much i should be paying!
Thanks
X

£30 per week. Includes the use of a school, stable and shared paddock. Nothing else. Seems the going rate round here for a yard with a school.

£110 per month for stable and all year turnout (half day winter, 24 hrs summer) use of school and lunge arena
hay is up to about £30 a month but changes depending on use (obviously less in summer)
shavings are £7 per bale
hope this is useful :)

HI
I pay £30 per week for DIY thats for stable and grazing no hay or haylage we get our own hay and YO supplies the haylage and we pay for that on top of our livery. We have two good sized outdoor arenas that are free to use and an indoor arena that we pay for when and if we use it. £30 seems to be about the average price for where we live and I think its pretty fair for the facilities we have.

around £240-50 per month depending on how much straw i use. (£250 would be 8 bales etc)
i get a huge! stable, turn out, indoor and outdoor meneges with nice new showjumps, 20lb of hay or haylege, chance to go competing with YO [but thats extra] hot water shower and horse dyer < cant remeber name:o [at extra cost too] tack and feed room :)

£100 per month; you provide all your own feed, hay and bedding and "do" the horse yourself. The YO will turn out/bring in etc but that's extra (charges depend on day of the week and whether or not public holiday). Nice new rubber-matted stables with automatic drinkers in an American barn, decent grazing (although getting a bit sparse now); grass schooling/jumping paddock; kitchen area with running water and electricity (plug sockets everywhere in the barn); toilet, storage and feed rooms within barn (lovely over the winter!) Hacking is round lanes (not my idea of fun) and New Forest half an hour away but you do have to cross a very busy main road. Super arena to hire at the yard next door which is accessible through the fields so no road work to there.

£100 (icluding stable) or £48 (without) - includes own paddock (individual depends on how how many horses you have (I have 2 so get 2 paddocks for individual grazing or can rotate), trailer parking, schooloing area, use of jumps, storage in big barn for own feed/hay/rugs etc. I have enough storage I can get all 15 bales of hay at start of winter - ensuring I don't run out :)

Horses are also checked by owner as they walk past with their dogs. - ponies are in top field.

£70 per month each for stable + own paddock to manage how you like and use off Small sand school (no lights for winter riding) large amount of storage space

Hay and straw gets bought in from your own supplier

I think it depends on what area of the country you're in, the rate for livery can vary so much depending on where you're based!

Down here in the south west - Wiltshire area, it costs me £110 per 4 weeks for DIY. Includes stable, winter turnout, 24hr turnout in summer, own paddocks, hay and straw, small outdoor floodlit school and rather nice hacking, mostly off-road.

Depends on where you are in the country. Im in Herts at the moment and £30 a week covers use of the school, stable, storage in the back of stable, storage for hay and straw and turnout (in groups but can section some off with electric tape).
In Leics though I could get similar (not as good school but still floodlt) and had individual/pairs turnout for £15 a week!! Also up in Leics bedding, feed etc was all much cheaper :)

I pay £25/week for unlimited turnout all year round on huge fields that we can divide as we feel fit, a stable, as much hay and straw as required and fantastic hacking. It is just myself and a friend with our two horses on an old farm.

Where I am it is £30 a week, that includes stable, individual turn out paddock (one for summer and one for winter), use of indoor school and 2 outdoors with floodlights, covered horse walker, indoor lunge area, off road hacking, show jumps, wash box with hot water. £33 a month for hay and haylege - whichever you prefer.

Where I was before charged £100 a month in the summer for stable and grazing and £185 a month in the winter which included adlib hay and straw. They had an outdoor school with lights, off road hacking and a xc course and showjumps - including a jumping paddock in the summer.

I have the best livery yard I think.
-£30 p.w
-haylage and straw as much as you want
-a school
-hacking
-free trailer storage
-nice stable
-my own hut for tack etc etc
-and its as safe as houses!!

Based in north east if your thinking of moving oh and we are extremely friendly!! ;)

£45 per week in Norfolk. This is for a Loddon stable, automatic drinker, adlib hay and 2 bales of beading/shavings per week. Secure heated tack room. Lovey grazing, off road riding, XC course and lovey all weather outdoor school.

wow- I'm moving to Norfolk your yard sounds like my idea of heaven!

£300 a month but that is for 2 horses.

Which includes:-

Staw included (can use as much as you like)
Stable
Small arena (including lights)
Large field (all to myself :D....the luxury of having an evil oss)
Years supply of worming
Bringing in on an evening (before it gets dark) but now I'm doing it.

Have to buy my hay seperately which is £30.00 a large square bale, I use about 5 bales a month.

i pay £35 a week in the winter.
its for as much bedding and haylage as i want.

and includes use of an allweather arena
use of wash box

and hopefully an indoor school will be ready for next year

and its in a great area just outside of blackpool so lovely on and off road hacking.

morning feeds are put in and in winter they turn out in the morning.

in the summer is only £20 a week as mine is out 24/7.

best thing of all is that its a friendly yard which makes it priceless around this area as most yards are so unfriendly.
