Advice on driving an old diesel Horsebox

Ive bitten the bullet and bought an old ( 1992) diesel Renault master van. Does anyone have any advice for driving it? The ignition is on the opposite side which is weird!

Don't put unleaded fuel in it

Go to the gym!!I had a 94 renault master with no power steering and ended up with arms like Popeye!

Having said that it was a fantastic work horse and the horse travelled really well in it.

thats not old, i used to have a A reg 1980 or 84 i cant remember merc with an arden horsebox on the back. no power steering and also a weird ignition that you push button started but then also had an idle speed screw next to you you could unwind or tighten down as you needed.

When you turn the ignition on, wait until the little orange glow-plug light goes out before you start it. If it doesn't, you need a new plug.

And don't let it run out of fuel!
