Advice on freezing semen

Hi could anyone give me advice I have a very well bred colt (4yo) and dont want to go through the grading again and was going to have him gelded a friend surgested having some of his semen frozen so I could possibly use it when I wanted without the hassel of keeping him entire......anybody know about his:

I would contact a local AI centre or stud, they should be able to advise you and can probably go through the whole process including the storage.

Contact AI centres, they will give you a breakdown on costs. Depending on where you go and what quantity you wish to store you should budget somewhere between £1,000 - £2,000 and that should include dummy training right through to the first years storage.
